About Fire Lotus Productions
Fire Lotus Productions, LLC is a production services company for film, television and new media projects of all levels and budgets. We can take your script from budgeting and breakdown, through to contact with investors, casting, opening a production office, line producing your shoot and, though our producing partners, provide production insurance, camera, grip and electric equipment.
In 2023, two short films on which JB was a producer were selected for the Big Apple Film Festival.
Over the years, we have worked with exceptional key creatives in all departments, and while final decision on key personnel will be yours, we are pleased to have you meet our “usual suspects.”
JB BRUNO
JB Bruno has been working in theater, film and television for over thirty years, with his first film, Q by Larry Cohen, as APOC in 1994.From there, he worked as a First Assistant Director on a number of feature films, including Floating with Norman Reedus and Chad Lowe, and 1999 with Jennifer Garner and Amanda Peet. He was production manager many feature films, including The Rook with Martin Donovan and horror classic Regenerated Man.
Among his producing and line producing projects are Man of The Century, which
won Slamdance and went on to be released by Fine Line. Shot on Black and White 35MM film, with large musical numbers and a cast of over 70 people, JB brought the film in on the SAG Modified Low contract, a budget he has worked with many times. He served as Director of Operations for Gun for Hire, the production arm of Oscar-winner Shooting Gallerys.
He has line produced international co-productions, and served as US proiduction company for an Indonesian co-production Letters for Raisa, featuring Indonesia’s biggest pop star, Raisa Andriana. Previously, he line produced the first Tamil-US co-production, Achchamundu! Achchamundu!, which featured Tamil stars Sneha and Prasanna. That film went on to win awards in the US and India.
In 2002, he completed work as producer on a film he co-wrote, Town Diary.
He was the original production manager on Emmy-Award winning reality show
Taxicab Confessions, and has produced and story produced reality webseries.
He has worked on SAG features at every level, including all of the SAG Indie
Contracts, and has experience with NYS and other State Tax Credits.
JB is the author of a blog on independent filmmaking called Living in My Oblivion.
